Inspired foundations
Prevention starts before there’s a crisis.
Inspired Foundations is Inspired Wellness’s prevention and education initiative, bringing developmentally appropriate programming directly into schools to help students build knowledge, skills, and awareness around the issues that can impact their health, well-being, and success.
Our programs are designed to be engaging, relevant, and responsive to the needs of today’s students; creating opportunities for meaningful learning and conversations before concerns become larger challenges.
Building stronger foundations early
Prevention gives schools an opportunity to reach students before a concern becomes a crisis. Through age-appropriate education and meaningful conversation, Inspired Foundations helps students better understand the issues they may encounter, develop skills for making health decisions, and recognize when and where to turn for support.
Our goal is to provide students with information they can understand, skills they can use, and opportunities to talk about topics that are already part of their world.
Prevention isn’t only about reducing risk. It’s about giving students the knowledge and skills to make informed, healthy choices.
Programming that grows with students
The needs, experiences, and challenges students face change as they grow. Inspired Foundations programming is designed with those developmental differences in mind, allowing topics to be introduced and explored in ways that are appropriate for different ages and grade levels.
Current Programming:
CLEAR THE AIR
Vaping & Substance Use Prevention
Age-appropriate prevention education designed to help students understand vaping, nicotine, healthy decision making, and how to respond when they encounter potentially unsafe situations.
REAL TALK: LIFE ONLINE (Parts 1 & 2)
Digital Wellness & Prevention
Programming designed to help students explore their experiences online and build awareness around health, responsible choices in digital spaces.
Inspired Foundations is continuing to grow. Additional prevention programs and grade-level offerings are currently in development.
More than a presentation
Programming is designed around the developmental needs and experiences of the students participating.
Lessons create opportunities for discussion, reflection, skill-building, and active participation.
When appropriate, pre- and post-program knowledge checks can help schools better understand what students learned and inform future programming.
Our team works with school professionals to understand student needs, school priorities, and prevention goals when identifying appropriate programming.
PROGRAMMING THAT FITS YOUR SCHOOL
Inspired Foundations can be tailored to the needs and priorities of each school community. Partnerships may include an individual program, programming across multiple grade levels, ongoing prevention initiatives, or customized educational opportunities.
Prevention + Early Intervention
Prevention Programming and Student Assistance Programs serve different - but complimentary - roles within a school’s system of student support.
Inspired Foundations provides opportunities to reach broader groups of students through prevention and education, while SAP helps schools identify and respond to individual students who may be experiencing barriers to learning or well-being.
Inspired Foundations can be incorporated alongside Inspired Wellness’s SAP services or offered independently as a stand-alone prevention partnership.
Schools do not need to utilize Inspired Wellness for SAP services to bring Inspired Foundations programming to their students.
Experience behind the programming
Inspired Foundations is supported by professional with experience in prevention, education, mental health, and community-based behavioral health. Our prevention work is informed by experience working alongside schools, students, families, and community partners to provide education, strengthen connections, and address issues affecting young people where they live and learn.
